Spaghetti all'Amatriciana

A tomato sauce with smoked tofu as a bacon substitute.



  1. Press and dice smoked tofu.
  2. Sauté tofu in a hot pan in vegetable oil and salt until crispy, then remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Cook spaghetti in salt water.
  4. Finely chop onion and mince garlic. Sauté onions on medium heat then add garlic.
  5. Add sieved tomatoes and a splash of olive oil for the finished sauce.
  6. Add salt pepper and herbs to taste.
  7. Serve spaghetti with tomato sauce and sprinkle smoked tofu dices on top.
